Swiss company Fraisa SA, an international leader in tool manufacturing, has been encouraging new talent in the high-precision metallurgy industry with the national Fraisa ToolChampions competition for years. Over 1,000 prospective multi-discipline mechanics (Polymechaniker), micromechanics (Mikromechaniker) and production mechanics (Produktionsmechaniker) from all over Switzerland mill and bore every year for the coveted title. For their task, the learners have to manufacture a perfect tool using predetermined parts drawings.

Communication agency Polarstern has been looking after media relations for the new talent competition from 2013 to 2015. In doing so, the agency has provided local and national media with media releases in German, French and Italian, together with image material. The comprehensive service has been paid off in terms of high media resonance.
