Standby

Compelling subjects for trainee carpenters

Standby appears every month in Schreinerzeitung and offers young carpenters several pages on current issues regarding their trade. Polarstern has been looking after its publication since 2009.

Every edition of Standby focuses on important events, influential individuals, unusual work projects and a subject important for vocational training.

Standby shows the apprentices new prospects and motivates them to become good professionals. Nosy comic hero Keck is training to be a carpenter. He goes from adventure to adventure as he does so, and puts across important aspects of operational safety in a humorous way. Anyone who knows some details about the profession can win useful, high-quality tools in the specialist competition each month.
